Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is a specialized, evidence based cognitive behavioral therapy designed specifically to break the cycle of obsessive thoughts, severe anxiety, and compulsive behaviors.
Rooted in behavioral science, ERP operates on the principle that avoiding feared situations or performing protective rituals reinforces anxiety over time.
In therapy, we work together to collaboratively and gradually expose you to triggers, thoughts, or images that provoke distress (Exposure), while learning and applying distress tolerance skills to more effectively resist or delay the safety behaviours, mental checks, or physical rituals you typically use to cope (Response Prevention). Through controlled and repeated practice, your nervous system undergoes habituation, learning that distress peaks and naturally subsides without relying on compulsions. Rather than seeking short term relief, you build long term tolerance for uncertainty and emotional discomfort. This process retrains your brain to recognize false alarms, allowing you to break free from repetitive cycles and regain agency over your life.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence based psychological treatment designed to treat various conditions including depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD, and more.
At its core, this therapy operates on the principle that our perception of a situation shapes our emotional and behavioural reactions to it.
In therapy, we work together to identify and examine unhelpful thought patterns before learning cognitive restructuring techniques to help you evaluate your thoughts more objectively. Alongside this work, we address behavioural patterns by introducing structured problem solving, behavioural activation for low mood, and introduce healthy coping mechanisms to replace learnt maladaptive responses.
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an action oriented, evidence based approach that helps you shift your relationship with difficult thoughts and feelings. Rather than trying to eliminate or debate uncomfortable internal experiences, ACT focuses on developing psychological flexibility through mindfulness and acceptance strategies.
In therapy, we work to identify your core values and clarify what truly matters to you. From there, we build committed action plans that enable you to pursue a purposeful life, even in the presence of challenging thoughts, emotions, sensations or memories.
-
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a specialized, evidence based therapy created to help individuals manage intense emotional dysregulation, chronic distress, and interpersonal conflict. DBT centers on balancing two core concepts: accepting your current experience as it is while actively working toward positive change.
Treatment focuses on building four essential skill sets: mindfulness to stay more present, distress tolerance to survive challenging situations, emotion regulation to manage mood , and interpersonal effectiveness to establish healthy boundaries and maintain meaningful relationships.
Through various cognitive and behavioural exercises, you learn simple but powerful techniques to navigate moments that can feel completely overwhelming. This framework provides a structure to shift reactive habits into calmer, and more intentional responses.
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an integrative, evidence based model of psychotherapy that views the mind as a complex system of distinct internal "parts."
In IFS, emotional struggles arise when protective parts (i.e., inner critics, caretakers, or distractors) become overworked to protect vulnerable, wounded parts carrying past trauma or pain.
In therapy, we help you access your core "Self," a state of natural calm, clarity, and compassion. From this centered leadership, you can understand, unburden, and harmonize your internal parts, restoring more balance and calm within your inner world. This gentle approach moves away from fighting your unwanted behaviors and instead seeks to understand their protective purpose.
As your internal parts learn to trust your Self more, deeper emotional wounds can safely heal without overwhelming your everyday life.

Mindfulness Based Interventions integrate clinical psychological techniques with structured mindfulness practices to interrupt automatic, reactive stress responses.
Rather than operating on autopilot or getting swept up in past regrets and future anxieties, these approaches train you to observe your moment to moment thoughts, bodily sensations, and emotions with non judgmental curiosity.
By developing this grounded awareness, you learn to respond thoughtfully to life stressors instead of reacting impulsively, promoting emotional regulation, reduced rumination, and sustained mental wellbeing.
Regular practice helps rewire the brain's habit loops so you can experience space between a trigger and your reaction. Ultimately, this approach fosters a grounded sense of presence that cushions you against daily pressure and burnout.
